The Private Hotel School is the official license holder of the American Hospitality Academy in South Africa (AHA –SA). Active Learning We challenge students to become deeply involved in their education and apply what they are learning in different situations. This progressive approach presents our students with a unique learning experience where each classroom is viewed as an active learning centre and where instructors use a wide range of interactive instructional methods which include lectures, participation, discussion, role-plays, individual and group activities and community/industry projects, quizzes, and examinations. Our Competitive Edge Our innovative career-focused programmes provide our students with the competitive edge they need to embark on an exciting career in the hospitality industry. We aim to provide graduates with the knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in the global marketplace and with employable traits deemed essential for the 21st Century. Global Classrooms AHA-SA students have the same unique opportunities that all AHA International Hotel Management School (AHA-IHMS) students have, of being able to visit and study at any of the AHA-IHMS global campuses in different parts of the world, broadening their educational base and exposing them to a diversity of cultures, traditions, beliefs, lifestyles and business practices. AHA E-Campus Through our online E-Campus programme component, students can engage in discussion threads, chats, video conferences and work on joint projects with students at other AHA-IHMS schools around the world, as well as witness presentations and practical demonstrations from experts in different countries. Continuous Curriculum Development The Private Hotel School is dedicated to continuous curriculum development and therefore reserves the right to change course content in line with International trends and SAQA / AHA requirements. |
